John Powhida is a
singer/songwriter living in Boston. He has sung
on recordings by Peter Wolf, The Click Five,
Sarah Borges and The Gentlemen. John is a
multiple Boston Music Award nominee and his
songs have been featured in episodes of My Name
is Earl and Men in Trees. You may have seen him
perform with his beloved Boston rock and soul
combo The Rudds or even as guitarist with rock n
roll icon and author Bebe Buell.
John is a truly adventurous artist/musician who
is proud to debut his brand new solo recording
"Dirty Birdy and the Funny Bunny" produced by
Paul Q. Kolderie (Radiohead, Warren Zevon) and
Adam Taylor (Dresden Dolls, Joshua English).
This will be the second release on Paul
Kolderie's Camp Street label.
The influences have been well documented over
the years and while they are diverse and
important, they dont seem tomatter as much
anymore. Powhida finds his voice on this one,
and of course it's as wild and fearless and you
would expect. Dig in and enjoy the J-Po!
